CHAPTER 17

Tierra and Devin were living in a dream world ever since they got married. The kids started school and Tierra also went back to school. Devin’s label became the largest label in the United States. Everything was going great until a knock at her door changed everything.

“Hi, is Devin here?” Lisa said with tears in her eyes.

“Hey Lisa, he should be at work come in. What’s up girl you look sad?” Tierra continued to be nice.

“I’m pregnant.”

“Oh wow, that’s cool, congratulations. Does the father know?”

“It’s Devin’s.”

“Excuse me!” Tierra said standing up. The anger started at her feet and moved up her body. What Lisa was saying didn’t quite register.

“Me and Devin had a thing a couple of months back and now I’m pregnant.”

“What kind of thing Lisa?” Tierra asked starting to get a little upset.

“I had just broken up with my ex, and Devin tried to comfort me and one thing led to another. I’m so sorry Tierra I feel so bad for doing that to you.”

Devin walked in the house smiling.

“Hey baby. Lisa what’s going on?” Devin tried to kiss Tierra, but she mushed his head away.

“Lisa you need to leave.” She felt her hands shake. She was ready to fight.

“What happened Tierra? Lisa…” Devin was so confused.

“Devin, I’m pregnant and it’s yours.” Lisa could feel the heat coming from Tierra.

“Hold up now Lisa, don’t you come in her trying to ruin my life. Nothing happened between us.” Devin went into defensive mode. He knew she was lying, but he also could feel Tierra’s eyes burning a hole in the side of his face.

“So where did this baby come from?”

“Nothing happened Tierra. I swear baby,” Devin said following her into the kids’ room. She started packing up some of their things.

“Baby where are you going? You going to believe her over me?” Devin tried to convince her, but Tierra wasn’t having it.

“Devin look me in the eye and tell me nothing happened. Not a hug or a kiss, nothing.”

“She kissed me, but I pushed her away.” He wasn’t getting through to Tierra.

Tierra was fuming. She wanted to choke, Devin but refrained from the violence.

“I’m leaving.”

“No, Tierra! Don’t go I swear nothing happened”

“So why is she saying something did? Why is she pregnant?” Tierra’s eyes were now blood red. She was boiling mad, and she wanted to hit Devin, but she just packed her things and left.

“Tierra I would never lie or cheat on you ever. I love you baby! I swear nothing happened!”

“Lisa how far along are you?” Tierra screamed down the stairs.

“Six months,” She screamed as she sat back and laughed under her breath. Her plan was working.

“Wasn’t you supposed to be working late for a whole week?” Tierra said recalling the week she fell asleep alone while Devin was working late.

“I was baby, and so was she. I’m telling you nothing happened.”

“So why didn’t I hear about that kiss she gave you?” Tierra was now in tears. Her chest started to hurt, and she started feeling sick.
